Mount Kinabalu was an awesome feat. It may be the easiest mountain to climb in the world, but at 4,095 m it is a true mountain.
We left the Mountain HQ on foot at 1800 m. In one day and overnight, we climbed over 2 km vertical to the summit. To put that in perspective, it is the equivalent of climbing the whole of Mount Kosciusko from sea level.
The way up was easy....
....and the sunrise at the summit spectacular.
It's no coincidence that there aren't many photos from the way down. I was in a world of pain and not really in the mood. There were some battlescars.
A few other fun images along the way.
